Hello everyone! I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Taylor Rittenberry and this will be my sixth year teaching first grade, although I also have experience in Kindergarten as well! I am passionate about teaching and watching little minds grow into wonderful readers, writers, mathematicians, etc. As most will say, it is the "light bulb" moment, when it all clicks for a kiddo, that makes this profession so rewarding.
I graduated with my bachelors degree in 2017 from Austin Peay State University. Go Govs! I also obtained my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Austin Peay in 2019. However, I am always wanting to learn more. I continue to grow and learn new things just as my students will in my class.
I was born and raised in Clarksville, and I am a product of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. In November 2018 I married my college sweetheart, Eric. Together we have two dogs (Murphy and Mia) and a cat (Milo). We welcomed a baby boy, Brooks Everett, in January 2021 and we will be welcoming another little boy in October 2022. 😊
In a nutshell, I have always loved kids and helping others. I love music, crafting, and the occasional (once a week 😉) Target run. My goal is to always create a fun and safe learning environment for your children, and get them ready for second grade! Thank you all in advance for making this a great year!
